Oral B Toothbrushes for kids

As a SheSpeaks.com member I was privileged to receive these Oral B toothbrushes for my children to try out. Let me tell you it was excitement in a box for my kids! I mean, my daughter is definitely in the "love of all things princesses" mode so you can imagine her excitement. And even though Lightning McQueen has been off the scene for a little while, my boys are still crazy about it. My son carried this toothbrush around the house with him and even took it to bed with him a couple of times. I like that the toothbrush heads are the perfect size for their mouths and it's easy for them to reach their back teeth. I would definitely reccomend Oral B toothbrushes to any one with small children. (This is not a paid review)

Our Big Prize

So this is the big Huge prize that we won!! Again I want to thank EVERYONE who took time to register and vote for us. We decided at least for now to not set up the home theatre system part of it because the tv volume is loud enough as it is. We had a little bit of a time getting it here because the delivery folks couldn't fit their delivery truck down our street, so my husband ended up having to meet him at the video store yesterday to load it into our van and bring it. My whole family is SO excited about this awesome win!

Grandma's Hand Me Down

This is our children's bedroom. For now i'll call it grandma's hand me down, because that's exactly what it is. The only things that make it suitable for children is the Fathead we have on the wall along with the Spongebob picture that we put together and the toys they bring in. My mom stayed with us up until September of last year, when she moved down south. As you can see, they don't have a headboard or bedframe and the room is absolutely blah! Not the least bit exciting for children.

I would love to furnish this room with some new bunk beds! For example this one:

I know that my kids would absolutely love it too! I mean what kid doesn't dream of having a bunk bed? This one is has a contemporary look that both my kids and I can equally enjoy. They deserve it because they are good kids and they're my kids and they just deserve better than what they currently have. To check out this and some other very stylish bunk beds along with other children's furniture, please check out Kids Furniture

Honey's Back

Just wanted to update. He looks really tired though, but says he's not tired, just feeling stressed out. Mainly because the kids are still hollering and screaming (just as before he left) and no matter how I try, I just can't seem to quite get them to calm down. It seemed like he was gone so long I accused him of "not wanting to come home." I offended him and had to apologize. I just missed him. I'm so glad he's back.

P.S. The kids did end up sleeping with me, but I warned them prior to that if it got to crazy, they were going to their own beds. We had a bit of a thunderstorm which must have temporarily knocked out the power. It was a gentle thunder which is always enjoyable to me.

He was kidding right?

Talked to my honey earlier. He'd seen the cardiologist and was supposed to be coming home today, but the cardiologist somehow forgot to sign the paperwork to release him, so he's been forced to stay, yet another day. He asked me if I was going to watch Chef Ramsey tonight. Made me tear up a little :( . We had started watching the show together. He said he'd watch it there while I watch it here and we'd be watching it together, but there's nothing like having someone to crack up with.

I had to get maintenance over to clear up our drain today. Oh- My- Goodness, I don't know what was in the drain that had it oh so plugged, but the poor guy had to leave twice to get more equipment to get it done. He even brought another guy to help him out. Thank God it's done though. I was beginning to think i'd end up waiting yet another day.

The kids slept with me lastnight. Something they do when dad is away for whatever reason. After lastnight, though, I think I need my bed to myself (and the baby). I had feet on me. I'd forgotten to put the heater back on, which didn't click until i'd gotten to the point of to lazy to get back up for it. My second to youngest son was on top of the cover, and me, so I had to pull really hard to get enough to cover myself and the baby so that we could stay warm.

Overall though, i'm trying to keep my cool. I want to go out on a limb and say he'll be home tomorrow for sure, but i'm almost now scared to get my hopes up. I can't forsee any reason for him to have to stay there any longer.

In the Hospital again

I'm here on somewhat of a low note again. My honey is in the hospital. Again. He'd been complaining of his heart fluttering and what not. Sometimes beating really hard and then back normal. This had been going on for at least a week, so lastnight I finally got him to get to the hospital. They decided to keep him overnight. I thought maybe they would send him home with a monitor, but I guess that since he has a history of a-fib, they decided to keep him and monitor him.

They've started him on those shots he has to get in his tummy. I guess he'll be self-administering again and they're also putting him back on coumadin. I really thought and hoped those days were long gone. (The kids and I are really missing you Daddy. We're thinking of you and we love you and look forward to your return real soon.)

Upon speaking to him earlier today, he hadn't had any episodes of his heart bothering for the time that he's been hospitalized so far. He's scheduled to talk with a cardiologist, hopefully tomorrow; hopefully in the morning, early so he can come back home to us.

I mean, the kids are always with me, but it just seems like things are so much harder when he's not here, though I know that that's not the case, it's just that his absence depresses me and every other little thing is magnified as annoyance.

I am glad that he's doing well though. I thought he was going to call again this evening, but he did say that he was tired, and after all this time, I assume he must be sleeping. Well, we'll just wait and hope he'll be here (in the morning).
