Giveaway: Celebrating $525 Million Earned for Schools with Box Tops for Education

It started in 1996. General Mills began an experiment on boxes of Cheerios in California with the first year earning $1 million. Since, it has grown to include more than 240 participating brands that provide
needed cash for 90,000 enrolled K-8 schools and has raised $525 million.

In celebration, the program is offering a variety of bonus Box Tops on more than 50 million packages at grocery stores and at btfe.com which means that consumers can double their earnings with select products. Schools can earn up to $20,000 every year through collecting box top coupons which are valued at 10¢ each.

With the pantry stock up gifts that I received, I learned and was amazed at how many products these points can be found on, some of them were truly unexpected such as the Scott brand paper towels and tissue and even on a nice Avery dry erase weekly calendar I received. I really appreciate the products specifically chosen to bear these points, because they are products that can be used daily, throughout the day and beyond being something you would grab just to collect points, these are things that you actually use. It's no wonder the Box Tops for Education program is the largest when it comes to fundraising.

In celebration of this accomplishment, I've been provided the opportunity to offer a giveaway where of one you will win a prize pack to restock your pantry. These items include:

  • New Peanut Butter Toast Crunch cereal
  • Nature Valley Chewy Trail Mix Dark Chocolate Cherry and Protein Salted Caramel
  • Fiber One Protein Bars
  • Progresso Recipe Starters
  • Food Should Taste Good Chips
  • Green Giant Fresh Box Tops for Education pencil pouch
  • Hamburger Helper Sweet & Sour Chicken and Parmesan Crusted Chicken
  • Betty Crocker Mac & Cheese and Au Gratin Potatoes
