Giveaway: Raw, Organic Shea Butter. #BeautyByShea

Growing up, we would put whatever lotions we had available on our arms and legs. We’d top it off by spraying on perfume. On our clothes, on our necks, a little under the dress and a finishing feminine shot on the wrist. We’d then rub that perfumed wrist against the other to share the sweet smell between the two. This is a habit that continued on into my adulthood up until probably a couple of years ago. I’ve cut back a lot because i’ve heard some things about different beauty products and perfumes that have left me feeling not so comfortable about their safety. The main thing that matters is that my body is clean, but I still want to feel and smell like a woman without endangering my health. We knew about the cocoa butter sticks coming up. It was something we were advised to use to minimize scarring. Shea butter is something i’ve learned about in more recent years, and from what i’ve learned it’s even more beneficial than cocoa butter.

Shea butter is said to have properties to treat various skin conditions. The closer to nature, the better. The Shea Butter brought to you by Beauty by Shea is raw, organic and unrefined. I think that’s about as close to nature as it could possibly get. It’s a moisturizer that you can use straight from the packaging or in DIY beauty products.

Keeping good moisturization on our skin not only makes it feel better, but it’s my understanding that it can help prevent wrinkles. In my quest for a healthier alternative i’ve purchased containers and some essential and carrier oils and i’m ready to try my hand to see what I can come up with. From what I can tell just starting with mixing these products, a little bit is going to go a long way. This is already a good thing for me because I don’t have a fortune to spend on beauty products. There is a road of research ahead of me, but I do know now that having shea butter is a good start. It’s  a reliable base for products that you can use in your hair as well as on your scalp and skin in products that you can create yourself such as soaps and lotions.

Beauty by Shea is available at Amazon.com.

I also have the opportunity to hold a giveaway where one of my readers will win shea butter from Beauty by Shea for themselves.
